Red Flag Rules, Matadors, and Charging Bulls
Cindy Smith, RHIT
National Compliance Manager
Kforce Healthcare
The basic objective of bull fighting is to execute various formal moves in order
to control the animal or challenger. This presentation will focus upon the
formal moves or plans to control or eliminate data breaches that have hit an all
time high and more to follow with the need to monitor new data security and
privacy laws and regulations. The rationale underlying these new laws and the
major requirements of the Red Flag Rules as well as the penalties for
non-compliance will be presented. |
