It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Peter Micallef. Peter was a dedicated educator, HIM professional, and advocate for HIMANYC. He was elected twice as HIMANYC president (1992, 2001) and earned the distinguished member award in 2005. As an educator, he taught and mentored hundreds of students. As a HIM director, he mentored his employees, always encouraging them to continue their education and be the best they could be. As a HIMANYC executive council member and member , he encouraged all HIM Professionals to be active in the association.
We will miss his dedication, service, and advocacy for the field. We offer our condolences to his family.
